The Free Clinic of Danville was established
by Epiphany to provide free medical care to individuals who don't
have health insurance.
In the early 1990’s there was a great need
here in Danville for medical care for those who had no insurance
or who could not afford medical care.
The Free Clinic opened in July, 1993 at Epiphany. The Clinic
began in a Sunday School room with one table and one screen. On
the first day, there were two doctors volunteering from our parish,
Frank Turner, MD and Edwin Harvie, MD. Seven patients were
seen that first day.
The Clinic now sees thousands of patients. Volunteers from our
church also give of their time
at the Clinic and have done so for many years. Over the years
many physicians from Epiphany have volunteered their services
at the Clinic. Parishioners have also served as Medical Director,
Treasurer, Administrative Director and Clinical Director.
